OVERVIEW
Safe-React Formula E™ For Etching Concrete is designed as a direct replacement for muriatic acid. One of the most common uses is in concrete finishing applications. It is also effective for pH adjustment, industrial descaling, cleaning heat exchangers and many other jobs that normally require hazardous acids. Also brightens aluminum (not for polished aluminum). Safe-React Formula E™ is a concentrated formula, to be used the same way muriatic acid is normally used. In concrete finishing applications Formula E™ has minimal efflorescence, which means it leaves behind less fine white powdery residue than muriatic acid. It has little or no fumes and is non-corrosive to skin. This product delivers superior performance along with safety, which is why our customers continue to re-order it at a high rate.

Why Safe-React Formula E™ Works
Formulated from an organic salt that performs as effectively as an acid or acid mixtures in dissolving or etching calcium carbonate (i.e. cement/concrete). Safe-React Formula E™ performs like an acid, yet is non-corrosive (to skin and metal per DOT/OSHA test protocols), non-fuming and is DOT Classified "Non-Regulated". By DOT Standards definition a product is considered Non-Regulated when the corrosion rate on 1020 Carbon Steel does not exceed 6.250 millimeters per year (mmpy). The corrosion rate of Safe-React Formula E™ is a mere 0.6379 mmpy.
Applications
Because
Safe-React Formula E™ is strong,
always test for compatibility with the surface and surfaces that may be contacted as part of the work being performed. Test by applying a small quantity of the product to
an inconspicuous area of all surfaces. Can cause flash rusting on unpainted metal at full strength and/or when not rinsed thoroughly. Safe-React Formula E™ can be used
on most concrete surfaces including new or old, residential or commercial, floors or walls, interior or exterior.
Use for etching concrete in the same manner as muriatic acid. If you are performing a task where you would normally dilute acid before applying it, dilute Safe-React Formula E™ the same way.
